Those who plan to attend - Posted: 06 May, 2007

So we've had many people call to say they'll be attending - but no guestbook entries! If you do plan to attend PLEASE post something in the guestbook so we know - we'd like to figure out some kind of price for you all, but we just can't do that without a head count. We also need to know if you're coming alone or with kids so we can calculate rooms and beds required!

Hope all is well - we'll get those prices to you as soon as we have a rough idea!

We checked out Silver Sands - Posted: 02 Apr, 2007

The happy couple went to visit Silver Sands and is happy to report that the casual atmosphere is perfect for kicking off your shoes and chillin with friends and family!

If you want formality - the Ritz is down the coast, at Silver Sands we'll smile often, laugh constantly, drink as much as possible, get a sexy brown tan, and harass any BAs who happen to attend.

The kids will love the soft sand and the lifeguards will amuse them with soccer. The reefs aren't great, but there are fish, stingrays, starfish, and sand dollars to find.

If you want to fish - you may head out to the jetty or fish from the boat. Fisherman’s beach is next door (across the giant wall) if you want to chat with the local fisherman.

The food is always fresh and the options include far more than fish and seafood (MOM). The ladies will prepare whatever it is that you desire for the day, tidy the villa, and wash your clothes.

The bottom line is that the trip should be perfect for all who come - and for those of you who do not - we'll post photos!

Passports - Posted: 07 Feb, 2007

Keep in mind that when you travel to Jamaica, you MUST have a passport. Applications can be picked up at the post office. Unless you want to pay extra, the process takes months - so give it 3-6 months to avoid additonal fees.

Passports are also necessary for children. FYI if you're traveling with a child and the other parent is not present, be sure to bring a notarized letter from them stating that they are aware of where the child is going, with whom they are traveling, and the dates.
